Synopsis:
What is a crop wild relative? And why are they important for the security of the world's major food sources? This film focusses on the potential uses locked inside the billion seeds stored at the Millennium Seed Bank.
Commissioned by Kew Gardens for a second year, Lonelyleap were asked to produce two films in continuation of the online content strand, Beyond the Gardens. With a focus on more complex environmental issues, our job was to translate these in a concise and digestible way for the public, whilst still retaining scientific accuracy.
The outcome are films that further cement Kew's integral role in solving some of the world's most pressing issues, dispelling their reputation as just a fun day out.
